In loving memory of Yitzchok Friedman and Noach Dear, the Orthodox Jewish Nurses Association is distributing pulse oximeter devices to immunocompromised and high risk community members during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been shown that early detection of a decrease in oxygen levels in the blood is critical in the treatment and management of COVID-19.
While the devices are being given out free of charge, donationsare welcome to cover the costs. The Orthodox Jewish Nurses Association is a non-profit organization, and all donations are tax deductible.
Special thank you to Goldie Burstein RN, Linda Segel RN, and Shevi Rosner RN for overseeing this project.
Update as of 5/20: We have distributed over 400 pulse oximeters in New York and New Jersey and have a few dozen remaining for distribution. Due to the increased demand for these devices among the community, we are in need of donations to be able to continue this important project.
