CONNECT, CARE, COMMUNICATE

Are you a soon to be graduate or recent graduate of a nursing school? Do you have a million questions and wish
you had a more experienced nurse who could help?

OJNA has developed a New Graduate Mentorship Program for any new graduate or soon to be new graduate from an Associates or Bachelors degree nursing program. We will match you with a nurse who has more than 2 years experience and can help guide you and answer questions during your transition from new graduate to professional nurse. This program is meant to foster a supportive relationship with a nurse who has expertise or experience in your area of practice. The expectation is that you will be mentored through the first 6 months and first year of your nursing career. We hope that your mentor-mentee relationship goes beyond that!

If this is something you feel you can benefit from, please complete the New Grad form below.
Take a look at our FAQ page which may help answer some of your burning questions!

Are you a skilled and knowledgeable RN who has an interest and is committed to formalizing a way to “pay-it-forward” by serving as a mentor, by creating a supportive relationship with a new graduate nurse?
If you are a nurse with more than two years of experience, we are looking for you!

We would love to match you with a new nurse who could use your help and guidance through the transition from nursing school to professional nursing practice. Regardless of the role you have now, you can still be of assistance to the many new graduates who are asking for help. Your commitment would be via phone or in person, if you choose, and we would connect you with a new graduate who is interested in a field similar to yours. Please fill out the mentor form below if you are able to assist.

OJNA has held two new grad events. Our inaugural event was a workshop with a career coach who discussed resume writing and interview skills. The second event was a cultural competency course on how to explain Judaism to co-workers. Both events had CEU credits for participants. Please contact info@jewishnurses.org if you would like to get involved!
